The third phase or package from Dasna in Ghaziabad to Hapur is more than 22 km long, with a civil cost of 1,058 million Rupees.

The Union minister, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated Monday the Delhi-Meerut Highway phase 3, built for an amount of Rs 1,058 million rupees.

The 82-kilometer highway Delhi-Meerut connects Delhi with Meerut in the west of Uttar Pradesh.
It is likely that an amount of Rs 8,346 million will be spent on the project.

The third phase or package from Dasna in Ghaziabad to Hapur is more than 22 km long, with a civil cost of 1,058 million Rupees.

This 6-lane section has 2 + 2 lanes on both sides and a 6-lane elevated corridor of 4.68 km in Pilkhuwa.


The project involves the construction of a main bridge through the upper Ganges channel, seven new small bridges, a viaduct in the Hapur bypass, 11 underpasses for vehicles, two underpasses for pedestrians, two-foot pedestrian bridges, six main crosses and 105 small crosses.

The project will help to relieve the national capital region and will significantly reduce pollution, the Ministry of Road and Highway Transport said in a statement. It will also lead to a reduction in travel time by more than one hour.

The 6-lane, 4.68 km long corridor in Pilkhuwa received a gold medal for its innovation in building technology.

The Pilkhuwa viaduct has also been awarded as an excellent concrete structure to the west of UP.
The Delhi-Meerut expressway project is being implemented in four packages: an 8-lane highway of 8.72 km / NH 24 with 8 lanes from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to the border with Ghazipur, already completed in June 2018, a lane of 6 lanes of 19.28 km of highway / NH 24 of 8 lanes of the border from Ghazipur to Dasna in UP, which is made at 60 percent and 22.23 km of NH 24 of 6 lanes with 2 + 2 lane service roads on both sides from Dasna to Hapur in UP, which is inaugurated.

In addition, the fourth package includes a 31.78 km long 6-lane greenfield expressway from Hapur to Meerut, the work of which is 57 percent, according to the statement.
